The Trouble Notes
The Trouble Notes, das Enfant-Terrible aus Berlin, hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, fernab von Grenzen ihre eigene Definition von Musik und Musikdasein zu leben. Zu viert bereisen sie die Welt und ihre Wanderlust spiegelt sich auch in ihren Kompositionen wider. Mit Violine, Gitarre, Bass und Percussion Beats kreieren die Virtuosen eine performancereiche Instrumentalmusik, die traditionelle Elemente aus Klassik, Gypsy, Flamenco und Jazz mit den Trends des 21. Jahrhunderts vermischt, oder wie sie es nennen: World Indie Fusion. The Trouble Notes nehmen uns mit auf eine Reise ins Neue und Gute in der Welt. Sie bewegen die Menschen rund um den Globus; ohne Sprachbarrieren und mit über 200 Shows im Jahr, egal ob als Straßenmusiker oder Festival Headliner, erspielen sich die Trouble Notes Publikum um Publikum. Ihre Musik erzeugt Visionen, erzählt die Geschichten der vier Musiker und der Menschen, die ihnen auf ihren Reisen begegnet sind. Dazu braucht sie keine Worte. Sie schafft das von ganz allein.
The trio’s aesthetic conjures the intrepid contemporary sounds of EDM, hip-hop, and indie rock along with the disciplined traditions of classical, klezmer and jazz. The group’s name is irreverently playful, just like their music can be. It conjures the concept of learned musicianship –when thought as a twist on “treble notes” -and it conjures their daring virtuosity, as in they are playing the “trouble notes.” But most appropriately the handle evokes daring creativity, music that stirs up something within the listener.
A trained violinist from the age of 4, Bennet Cerven began his journey in the streets of New York City’s sprawling metropolis. His early travels brought him to Europe where he would unite with guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt, bass player Stefan Bielik and percussionist Oliver Maguire. Together they would document their story of personal and musical travels with the band The Trouble Notes. The band’s emotive, pan-cultural music functions as both personal memoir and a United Nations of sound. Their music doesn’t need words to convey stories or foster connections. The Trouble Notes resonate across genres and cultures with visionary and accessible compositions.
